Psalm 8: 1-2
1 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
We read these words but do we follow them? How often do we tell about the thing the Lord has done for us? I have mentioned before that a friend calls God’s intervention in our lives “the arangels at work.” I try to remember to share how that happens in my life but usually only with those who understand it. I need to share more with others. They may scoff and tell me it’s “coincidence” but that’s fine. Maybe they will see my belief as “something more.”
Tell about God’s marvelous works. He continues to work today. Sing his praises!
Amazing God, thank you for your work in our lives. Remind us to share it with others. AMEN
Out of pain and problems have come the sweetest songs, and the most gripping stories.
When you read the Bible you discover that the stories are about problems. If there is no trial there is no story. We all suffer pain of some kind. Life is not free of pain but if we are careful we can learn from the pain and use it to help someone else. Each person’s story in the Bible is there for a reason…so that we can learn from it. We can also learn from our own stories and those around us.
Loving God, you can us many stories in the Bible to learn from. Help us learn from our own and the ones we hear each day. AMEN
If you have knowledge, let others light their candles with it. ———–Winston Churchill
Those of us who follow Christ has knowledge that we need to share. Tell others what he has meant to you… how he has supported you, guided you, and dried your tears. Tell them your personal story. Share
Christ our savior, remind us to share our story with others. Stories change lives. AMEN
We need the company of other seekers–not answers-————-unknown
Too often we want the answers. Why do bad things happen? Why isn’t the world a better place? I could go on forever.
We have to learn that we don’t need the answers. We probably wouldn’t understand them anyway. Instead we need to be with others who are seeking God. We need to share our stories of “God moments” and hear theirs. That is what will feed our faith.
Infinite God, you are beyond our understanding. Help us to find you in communion with others. AMEN
