Christianity has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult and left untried. G.K. Chesterton

Have we really tried to follow Jesus. For most of us its’ not that we don’t know how to be good Christians. We will do the little things. We will try to be kind to each other. – except when it gets in our way. We will give away things to Goodwill- things that we don’t need any more. We will pledge money to the church – but not so much that we don’t have enough for what we want. So we do follow Jesus –sort of. We wold’t want to be fanatics after all.
Help us Lord, not to be half-way Christians. Give us the courage to step out of the norm and be fanatics for you. AMEN
Loving Christ, you show us so clearly how to live to find God’s kingdom. May we seek your way always. AMEN

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world. Robin Williams
Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I am still on a gratitude kick. We have a tradition for each person to say something that they are thankful for. Yesterday I asked them to name something that is not the usual routine such as family, home, love etc. I said reach out and think of something different. My granddaughter (who is a recent college graduate with a fairly new job) said she is glad that she can live at home for now and save money. I am sure her parents were happy to know that she is grateful for that. It is good to share our gratitude. Too often we don’t thank God and we don’t thank others either. Share your gratitude with others.
It is so easy to sit back and let others take the lead. We are afraid that we can’t do things well enough. Jesus did not ask the disciples if they could do what he asked. He asked them to follow him but he expected them to lead others to Him. You can’t just follow. Christ asks us to lead!
